First one thing that you need to know about inbound links is that if your website is really good and if you have a lot of good content that goes with your site people from other related sites will give add a link in their site to your site. This is good because if you look at the positive side you are getting more traffic and better ranking for inbound links. Have in mind too that not always everyone will add their link on their site to your site without you adding a link back to them and this is call reciprocal link, exchanging link or other names that they have for this process. The point is that if you go this route you should be careful when you exchange links since some people have their links page on a place that is not link from any other page on their site. This really disappoint me from webmasters because is not fair that they want a link from other site but they don't put the link to the other site from a page that is link to any page on the site. If you think about it is like they are getting an inbound link without giving a link back since the bot spiders which this are the ones that google, yahoo, msn, and other search engines use to index your pages won't see this page at all. At the same token if you don't like when people do this to you don't do this either because you will end up on a situation that no one will link to your site.

There's a lot of places you can get links to your site, some of them and one of the easiest ones are directories. Normally on directories you have to have a reciprocal link if you want the link for free or you can pay to get an inbound link. Some of the directories are cheap but other directories are expensive, the price is pretty much based by the page rank of the site because the better page rank the site have is better for your site because the link is going to have more weight and more value to your site.
